Fanny Aguilar, LCSW
Practice Director
Fanny is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a remarkable depth and range of experience in her treatment of mental health issues. She is bilingual in Spanish and English and welcomes clients from all cultures. Fanny recently retired from the State of Connecticut where she worked as a full-time Crisis Interventionist and Assessment Clinician at the Southeastern Mental Health Authority in Norwich, CT. Historically, she was an effective Case Manager at the same agency as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary, intensive, outpatient team. As a Case Manager, Fanny addressed a full range of mental health and addiction disorders. She has also worked as a Psychiatric Emergency Services Clinician at a Windham hospital. Fanny is also a certified hypnotist and uses Hypnotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her practice.
Fanny treats issues dealing with anger, ADHD, anxiety disorders, autism, bipolar disorders, depression, grief counseling, trauma, and PTSD. Her area of treatment specialty is Couples Counseling but, treats individuals as well.
Fanny received her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of San Martin De Porres in Lima, Peru and her Masters in Social Work from Springfield College in Springfield, MA. She completed clinical studies in EMDR with the BodyMind Institute in Danbury, CT. Fanny holds certification status as a Medical Interpreter from the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Fanny's hours of availability are mornings, afternoons and weekends.
Carleigh Hannah, LCSW
Carleigh has a unique approach to psychotherapy. Her goal is to provide a safe place to process the barriers to living one's best life. She is here to root you on when things are going well, encourage you to look deeper into underlining meanings, and support you through difficult life decisions and transitions. Carliegh utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) with a trauma and solution focused, goal-oriented approach. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Carleigh treats ADHD, anxiety disorders, autism, bipolar disorders, depression, personality disorders, schizophrenia, and PTSD. She is an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and has experience with educating and advocating for LGBTQ+ misconceptions.
Carleigh is a graduate from the University of Connecticut, School of Social Work. She is currently employed with the State of Connecticut Southeastern Mental Health Authority (SMHA) after working for Hartford Healthcare for 13 years.
Carleigh's availability is Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Mary Jane King, LCSW
Mary Jane has worked in the field of Mental Health and Addiction since the late 90's. She has been employed with the State of Connecticut since 2003 and has experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. The treatment modalities she is trained in include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). She also has received training in Grief Counseling. Mary Jane has been in private practice for the past six years and works with clients in late adolescence to adulthood. She works from a strength based focus. It is important to her to create a relaxing, accepting and safe space to partner with her clients in their personal growth.
Mary Jane received her Bachelor's degree from UMASS and a Master's degree from Simmons College.
Mary Jane's hours of availability are Sundays.
Janice Katilius, LCSW
Janice is an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 30 years. She primarily has worked with adolescents and their families in an inpatient and residential setting, as well as, in/outpatient and PHP/IOP settings. Janice has worked in the state's only adolescent inpatient/PRTF and with DMHAS. She has been a group leader for CT's Love 146/Not A Number, a child trafficking and exploitation curriculum. Janice's focus is a strength based approach and she is able to connect with clients in order for an individual to feel heard and listened to. She has been trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) , CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and MI (Motivational Interviewing). Specifically, Janice treats individuals who deal with depressive and anxious disorders, trauma, autism spectrum disorders, and Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorders.
Janice received her Master's in Social Work at The University of Connecticut School of Social Work.
Janice's hours of availability are select mornings, afternoons or evenings, Monday through Friday.
Kaila Brown, LCSW
Kaila is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), dedicated to serving her clients with compassion and dignity. In her areas of practice, she addresses depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use. She has over six years of experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, and families in various roles and settings. In private practice Kaila will serve adolescents, and adults. Her treatment consists of a person-centered, strengths-based approach, and she meets clients where they are on their journey. She delivers professional and relatable insights while incorporating the treatment modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Trauma Focused, and Motivational Interviewing techniques. Kaila provides a supportive and safe environment for clients to unleash their potential and overcome adversities.
Kaila received her B.S.W. and M.S.W. from the University of Saint Joseph. Kaila currently serves individuals in the young adult population in her role at the Southeastern Mental Health Authority.
Kaila offers in-person and telehealth services and has availability on Saturdays.
